BATMASS, speaker at the conference on local energy communities in Spain and Portugal

On 28 November, the Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) participated as a speaker at the “Technologies for the development of local energy communities in Spain and Portugal” conference, a key event to discuss the future of the energy transition.

Organised by the University of Seville, the event took place at the Seville School of Engineering and brought together experts, institutions, and pilot projects focused on developing innovative solutions for local energy communities.

BATMASS: Technology and innovation for the energy transition

During the conference, Marta Macías, Innovation Technician in International Projects at CTA, took part in one of the most relevant round tables, which focused on key technologies for local energy communities. In her presentation, Macías showcased the impact of the BATMASS EU Project, where CTA plays a key role as a partner and communication leader.

She also highlighted the role of BATMASS pilot plants, designed to transform the energy sector through advanced battery recycling and resource optimisation, contributing to a more sustainable and efficient energy model.

A key event for energy innovation

This conference, held within the framework of the European projects AGERAR PLUS and CEL RURAL, highlighted the importance of technological innovation in fostering more efficient and sustainable energy communities.
