Our project BATMASS will take part in the sixth edition of the Battery Innovation Days (BID), taking place on 11–12 November 2026 in Stockholm, Sweden, and online. As an exhibitor, BATMASS will showcase its work towards a more circular and resilient European battery value chain at one of Europe’s key meeting points for battery research and innovation.
Jointly organised by BEPA, Battery 2030+ and the Battery IPCEIs, Battery Innovation Days brings together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers and innovators from across the battery value chain to exchange knowledge, explore emerging technologies and discuss the future of Europe’s battery ecosystem. The 2026 edition will be hosted in Stockholm and will combine an extensive conference programme with a dedicated exhibition and networking opportunities.
For BATMASS, the event will provide an opportunity to present the progress made towards the first EU Circular Battery Valley, connecting innovation, industry and investment to support the deployment of circular battery solutions across European regions. Visitors to the BATMASS stand will be able to discover the project’s four large-scale demonstrators, covering advanced reverse logistics for end-of-life batteries, second-life applications, the recovery of valuable raw materials from black mass, and the production of new battery materials using recycled resources.
The preliminary programme reflects some of the main challenges currently shaping the European battery industry, including advanced materials, raw materials and recycling, industrial scale-up and gigafactories, stationary energy storage, heavy-duty transport and Europe’s strategic resilience. These topics closely connect with BATMASS’s work to accelerate circular technologies and strengthen the sustainability and competitiveness of the European battery value chain.
Participation in Battery Innovation Days will also offer BATMASS the opportunity to connect with companies, research organisations, policymakers and other European initiatives, exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities for collaboration and replication of the solutions developed within the project.
