The European BATMASS project participated in KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, held from 4 to 6 March 2026 at the Rimini Expo Centre. The event once again confirmed its position as one of the leading international platforms for energy transition, bringing together companies, institutions, investors and innovators working to accelerate the shift towards a more sustainable energy system.
BATMASS was represented by project partner ERP Italia Servizi, who managed the project’s exhibition space at Pad. D1 / Stand 530. The stand was shared with the European projects AUTOMAT and RENOVATE, continuing a collaboration previously showcased at other international fairs and reflecting their common focus on circular and sustainable technological solutions.
The 2026 edition closed with highly positive results, recording a 10% increase in total attendance and a 9% rise in international visitors compared to the previous year. More than 1,000 exhibiting brands, including 320 international companies, presented their latest innovations across the energy transition sectors, while 530 hosted buyers and delegations from 59 countries attended the event.
During the three-day exhibition, BATMASS showcased its work on advancing circular solutions for batteries, including innovations in recycling, materials recovery and sustainable value chains. Participation in KEY provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry stakeholders and highlight the project’s contribution to building a more resilient and circular European battery ecosystem.
