On 11 October 2025, the BATMASS Project will take part in a workshop at the Italian Pavilion of EXPO Osaka 2025, highlighting Europe’s progress in building a Circular Battery Valley.
The session, organized in collaboration with the Lombardy Region, will feature project partners Politecnico di Milano, AFIL, ERP Italia Servizi and University of Pavia. Presentations will cover:
- Present the first European Circular Battery Valley, positioning it as a hub where second life, recycling, and re-manufacturing solutions converge to close the loop in the battery value chain.
- Showcase the BATMASS Digital Platform as a key enabler of circular business models and regulatory compliance across the battery lifecycle.
- Highlight BATMASS’s integration with regional initiatives (e.g., EcoCIRC), demonstrating how local pilots and best practices contribute to broader EU-level efforts in creating a Circular Battery Valley.
- Foster dialogue and multi-level partnerships across research, industry, and institutions to drive sustainable innovation.
Coordinated by Marcello Colledani (Politecnico di Milano), the event aims to showcase how interregional cooperation is shaping Europe’s battery value chain—from second life to recycling and re-manufacturing.
